About formats

DXF / DWG — AutoCAD native. DXF is text-based and fully supported locally. DWG requires ODA File Converter for full fidelity; conversion shown here is best-effort via DXF intermediary. SolidWorks (.sldprt / .sldasm / .slddrw) — proprietary binary. Local conversion without SolidWorks installed is not practical (no open-source parser exists). Workaround: open in SolidWorks → Save As DXF → drop DXF here. PDF — generated via Weasyprint from a vector preview (SVG). Best for 2D drawings with lines/circles.
